This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main point of contact for the Project Procurement Team Leader
• Oversee sourcing, procurement, and logistics operations across a range of projects
• Ensure that procurement commitments are fulfilled, including timely delivery, quality assurance, and cost effectiveness
• Create and uphold the project procurement execution strategy
• Align procurement milestones, supplier lead times, and logistics efforts with project timelines and delivery goals
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive procurement roadmap for the BTM portfolio
• Take ownership of the quality, negotiated costs, and punctual delivery of project materials and services
• Co-manage the Engineering Procurement Plan where relevant
• Collaborate with Engineering and Sourcing teams to secure supplier documentation promptly
• Manage and track the material budget
• Set procurement schedules and monitor their progress
• Ensure that procurement execution adheres to the project procurement execution plan
• Identify and address supply chain risks that may impact critical project equipment
• Follow up on the timely resolution of supplier-related Non-Conformance Reports (NCPs)
• Assist Sourcing in acquiring engineering technical specifications within deadlines
• Initiate and engage in regular project meetings while tracking action items
• Evaluate supplier adherence to contractual customs and duties obligations
• Manage supplier claims in coordination with the Commodity Leader/Buyer
• Provide monthly updates on progress, supplier claims, and project cost summaries
• Update supplier cash out and project milestone recognition related to procurement
• Represent the procurement team in both internal and external project meetings
• Ensure compliance with Quality and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations
• Assist the Project Procurement Team Leader in meeting overall project objectives
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• At least 8-10 years of experience in high voltage electrical construction project environments
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically 40% of the time
• Must adhere to all applicable company travel and tax policies
• Capability to work a flexible schedule that may include overtime as needed
• Experience in roles such as Project Manager, Tender Project Manager, Senior Purchasing Manager, Senior Sourcing Manager, or Sales Project Manager
• Strong understanding of the legal and contractual dimensions of EPC contracts
• Knowledge of risk management practices
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Proficient negotiation skills with suppliers or clients
• General knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedures, and sourcing management
• Capability to mentor and develop team members
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently resolve issues with challenging suppliers
• Basic knowledge of scheduling and planning for large and complex projects
• Technical knowledge of purchased products and familiarity with power plants
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Management
