This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and manage CleanSpark's enterprise procurement and supply chain functionalities.
• Design and implement procurement, supply chain, and category strategies that align with operational plans, capital priorities, growth initiatives, and risk considerations.
• Oversee comprehensive strategic sourcing processes, including intake, market analysis, requests for information and proposals, bid evaluations, supplier selections, commercial negotiations, and contract coordination with the Legal department.
• Collaborate with business units to clarify requirements, consolidate demands, assess total cost of ownership, and formulate sourcing strategies that meet technical, operational, financial, and scheduling goals.
• Take ownership of the enterprise strategy for critical and long-lead equipment, focusing on demand planning, supplier capacity analysis, strategic supplier relationships, reservations, framework agreements, delivery assurance, and contingency strategies.
• Implement supplier performance and risk management practices that address quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, capacity, financial stability, market conditions, tariffs, and logistical constraints.
• Develop and uphold enterprise procurement policies and controls, including delegation of authority, competitive bidding standards, vendor onboarding, purchase order discipline, conflict of interest expectations, and approval workflows.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, Commercial Operations, Technology, and business-unit stakeholders to enhance procure-to-pay processes, contract transitions, supplier data management, invoice resolutions, and spend visibility across NetSuite, Tipalti, the PMIS, and related systems.
• Supervise supply chain execution for designated categories, encompassing expediting, logistics, freight, import coordination, inventory strategy, site deliveries, and issue resolution.
• Establish procurement reporting and performance metrics, including savings and cost avoidance, sourcing cycle time, contract coverage, supplier performance, on-time delivery, supply risk, and purchasing compliance.
• Recruit, lead, and mentor procurement and supply chain team members; define roles, service expectations, operating rhythms, and accountability.
• Perform additional duties as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or category management, particularly in complex capital and enterprise spending.
• Proven track record of establishing, centralizing, or significantly enhancing a procurement or supply chain function serving multiple business units or operational groups.
• Strong expertise in commercial negotiations involving master agreements, purchase agreements, framework or capacity arrangements, statements of work, pricing models, delivery commitments, and supplier performance criteria.
• Experience in developing procurement policies, approval workflows, sourcing standards, supplier governance practices, and internal controls, supported by ERP, procure-to-pay, supplier management, and project information systems.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing people, including setting priorities, developing team members, overseeing performance, and establishing accountability.
• Excellent analytical, financial, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to leverage spend and performance data to inform decision-making.
• Willingness to travel to company locations, project sites, supplier facilities, and other business locations as needed.
• Candidates must be insurable under CleanSpark's vehicle insurance policy when duties necessitate the operation of a company vehicle or travel between job sites.
• Professional certification such as CPSM, CSCP, CPM, or an equivalent credential in procurement or supply chain is preferred.
• Experience in procurement or supply chain within data centers, energy, digital infrastructure, industrial operations, construction, or technology hardware is preferred.
• Familiarity with international suppliers, freight and logistics, customs, tariffs, supplier quality, factory testing, or delivery assurance is preferred.
