This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and uphold the project procurement execution strategy.
• Synchronize procurement milestones, supplier lead times, and logistics activities with the project master timeline and delivery goals.
• Develop and maintain a unified procurement roadmap for the BTM portfolio.
• Take responsibility for the quality, negotiated costs, and timely delivery of project materials and services.
• Co-manage the Engineering Procurement Plan where applicable.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Sourcing to ensure timely receipt of supplier documents, such as drawings and quotations.
• Oversee and track the material budget.
• Set the procurement schedule and periodically check on progress.
• Ensure procurement activities adhere to the project procurement execution plan.
• Identify and address supply chain risks that could affect critical project equipment, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
• Ensure prompt resolution of supplier-related Non-Conformance Reports (NCPs).
• Assist Sourcing in obtaining timely technical specifications from Engineering.
• Initiate and engage in regular project meetings involving Quality, Engineering, Planning, Logistics, and project management teams.
• Produce meeting notes and action items and follow up on their progress.
• Assess supplier compliance with contractual customs and duty obligations.
• Manage supplier claims in collaboration with the Commodity Leader or project Buyer.
• Provide monthly updates on progress, supplier claims, and project cost summaries.
• Revise supplier cash out and project milestone recognition associated with procurement.
• Represent Procurement in both internal and external project meetings.
• Ensure adherence to Quality and EHS regulations relevant to the sourcing function.
• Assist the Project Procurement Team Leader in achieving overall project objectives.
• Coordinate Sourcing, Procurement, and Logistics functions across a variety of projects.
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or college.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a high voltage electrical construction project environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically 40% of the time.
• Must adhere to all relevant company travel and tax regulations.
• Capacity to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.
• Experience in roles such as Project Manager, Tender Project Manager, Senior Purchasing Manager, Senior Sourcing Manager, or Sales Project Manager.
• Solid understanding of legal and contractual elements of an EPC contract.
• Knowledge in risk management.
• Proficiency in working effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers or customers.
• General knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedures, and sourcing management.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Demonstrated accountability, resilience, autonomy, and leadership qualities.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently resolve issues with challenging suppliers.
• Basic understanding of scheduling and planning for large and complex projects.
• Technical familiarity with purchased products and power plants.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
