This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Establish and manage financial objectives for security testing.
• Coordinate development and validation activities for components, systems, and complete vehicles, focusing on impact testing and retention systems.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies by identifying root causes of issues, developing design solutions, and validating plans with cost and time impacts.
• Communicate the program's status and technical risks to leadership teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure that assigned vehicle programs meet functional safety objectives within defined timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with global regulations and achieve favorable ratings in safety tests.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent.
• 1 to 5 years of engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience related to crash/safety in two or more specified areas.
• Vehicle structure design for impact performance using CAE.
• Development of retention systems or components.
• Testing on sleds and/or complete vehicles.
• Experience in program management or as a project lead in safety-related products.
• Knowledge of global vehicle safety regulations and consumer qualification requirements.
• Understanding of the vehicle development process through applied professional experience or leadership roles.
• Strong skills in root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Familiarity with DYNA3D, CATIA/NX/TC, Hypergraph, data analysis/footage, and advanced simulation techniques.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent.
• Proven track record of leading teams to achieve functional objectives and program goals.
• Familiarity with multifunctional interactions and conflicts among NVH, impact, and durability.
• Experience in full vehicle impact testing and/or data analysis.
• Excellent leadership and written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Experience in nonlinear finite element analysis.
• Minimum intermediate advanced proficiency in English.
