This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and facilitate observational and clinical cancer research studies managed by WEHI.

• Provide support for studies conducted at participating centers throughout Victoria and Australasia.

• Collaborate with Lead Investigators and participating centers on study initiation, recruitment, and coordination.

• Administer multi-site clinical and translational studies.

• Assist the genito-urinary portfolio of clinical and translational research within the Gibbs Laboratory.

• Facilitate the collection, processing, storage, and logistics of biological samples.

• Gather and manage research data utilizing research databases.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams during the setup and execution of clinical studies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, science, or a related field; or equivalent relevant training and experience.

• At least three years of experience in oncology, clinical research, or a similar health research environment, with proven competence in operational research activities.

• Experience in managing or coordinating projects with shifting priorities.

• Familiarity with the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research.

• Current certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

• Proven experience liaising with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams during the establishment and conduct of clinical studies.

• Experience in the collection, processing, storage, and logistics of biological samples.

• Demonstrated experience in data collection and management, including working with research databases.

• High level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities, both written and verbal.

• Strong time-management skills with the capability to independently prioritize competing deadlines.

• Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Desirable: Knowledge of genitourinary cancers and/or molecular biology.

• Desirable: Experience with data analysis in a research or clinical setting.

• Desirable: Phlebotomy skills.
