This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Plan, budget, oversee, and document projects related to the implementation of new business and ongoing initiatives within contract logistics.
• Manage projects concentrated on warehousing and distribution centers.
• Collaborate with clients and DSV leadership to ensure that projects remain on schedule, within scope, and adhere to budget constraints.
• Grasp all phases of project implementation schedules, core deliverables, and timelines.
• Align client and business inputs to establish project scope.
• Develop comprehensive project schedules that include milestones, critical-path tasks, dependencies, internal tasks, client tasks, and contractor tasks.
• Communicate project scope and schedules to project resources and stakeholders effectively.
• Hold team members and contractors accountable for their deliverables.
• Manage project budget, scope, timeline, and change control processes.
• Lead status meetings, capturing updates and risks, while facilitating detailed working sessions.
• Escalate issues and risks to the Manager and Project Sponsor as necessary.
• Provide updates to the Steering Committee regarding executive-level status, budget, and risks.
• Oversee the transition from project execution to stable operations.
• Facilitate AQP sessions.
• Assist with drafting MS Project files for RFP responses.
• Create detailed project plans that include tasks, due dates, and assigned owners.
• Anticipate risks and formulate mitigation plans accordingly.
• Ensure that functional owners comprehend and fulfill their deliverables.
• Verify the quality of work and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
• Foster team ownership, alignment, priorities, and timing for completion.
• Drive the business forward and escalate for support before issues reach critical status.
• Perform additional duties and manage assigned project resources as directed by management.
• A four-year degree is required; a degree in Management, Engineering, or Operations is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience is essential.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Logistics/Warehousing industry is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio is necessary.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems is required.
• Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and language skills are necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and facilitate meetings or workshops.
• Good mathematical abilities are required.
• Experience in e-commerce, including launching small- to large-volume solutions, is preferred.
• Capability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures is essential.
• Willingness to work overtime as dictated by business needs is required.
• Preferred: experience in a 3PL environment.
• Preferred: experience with warehouse automation applications such as Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, and conveyor design.
• Preferred: PMP or other formal project management training.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; bend, stoop, reach, climb, and stand for several hours each day.
• Ability to travel by plane and/or automobile as required.
• Base pay range of $105,000.00–$130,000.00 annually.
