This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Plan, budget, oversee, and document projects related to new business implementation as well as ongoing business initiatives.
• Concentrate project efforts on warehousing and distribution centers within the Solutions organization.
• Collaborate closely with clients and DSV leadership to ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and adhere to budget constraints.
• Define phases of project implementation, deliverables for functional areas, and establish timelines.
• Align client and business insights to accurately capture the scope of projects.
• Develop comprehensive project schedules that include milestones, critical-path tasks, dependencies, and responsibilities for internal teams, clients, and contractors.
• Communicate project scope and timelines to all project resources and stakeholders.
• Hold team members and contractors accountable for meeting deliverables and deadlines.
• Oversee project budget, scope, timeline, and manage change control processes.
• Conduct status meetings to capture updates, outline next steps, identify risks, and formulate mitigation plans.
• Facilitate in-depth discussions within small groups.
• Escalate any issues and risks to the Manager and Project Sponsor as necessary.
• Lead updates for the Steering Committee, covering executive-level status, budget, and risks.
• Manage the transition from project execution to stable operations.
• Facilitate AQP sessions.
• Assist in drafting MS Project files for RFP responses.
• Provide planning, risk mitigation, team leadership, project ownership, and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify the quality of work and progress, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure teams remain aligned on priorities and timelines.
• Communicate effectively with customers, facilitating meetings and workshops.
• Manage resources assigned to the project team as necessary.
• Support special projects, implementations, and process improvements.
• A four-year degree is required; a degree in Management, Engineering, or Operations is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in Project Management is necessary.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Logistics/Warehousing industry is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio is essential.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is necessary.
• Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills are required.
• Good mathematical abilities are essential.
• E-commerce experience, particularly in launching small- to large-volume solutions, is preferred.
• Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during both warm and cold months is necessary.
• Willingness to work mandatory or voluntary overtime as required by business needs is expected.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time is required.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights ranging from 21–50 pounds is essential.
• Ability to travel by both plane and automobile is required.
• Ability to work in a construction environment is necessary.
• Preferred experience in a 3PL environment.
• Preferred experience with warehouse automation applications such as Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, and conveyor design.
• Preferred: PMP or other formal project management training is a plus.
• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
