This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee assigned DJ Basin oil and gas projects in Colorado from scope development through site planning, civil design, permitting, delivery, and project closure.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients and report to the Portfolio Manager.

• Coordinate with Surveying, Remote Sensing, GIS, Drafting, Civil Engineering, and Permitting teams.

• Convert client objectives into deliverables, project phases, tasks, budgets, timelines, dependencies, and critical paths.

• Create scopes, assumptions, exclusions, budgets, effort estimates, milestones, and schedules in collaboration with technical leads.

• Lead status meetings, secure decisions, and communicate updates on progress, risks, and revised commitments.

• Organize survey and remote sensing activities, field access, resource allocation, data collection needs, and delivery timelines.

• Monitor survey data, maps, exhibits, revisions, and transitions between departments.

• Gather client information, layout preferences, design criteria, and decisions for site planning and engineering teams.

• Incorporate engineering deliverables and ECMC, local, and relevant federal permitting milestones into project schedules.

• Review hours, costs, progress, remaining efforts, variances, budgets, forecasts, time, expenses, and invoices.

• Evaluate scope changes, document impacts, obtain approvals, and revise budgets, schedules, or client commitments as necessary.

• Identify risks and delays, develop alternatives, modify sequencing or resources, and escalate decisions with recommendations.

• Facilitate technical reviews and resolve comments prior to delivery.

• Maintain project documentation, complete project closure and final billing, and share lessons learned.

• Adhere to company safety, quality, and data-security protocols.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support without direct supervisory duties.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or project coordination in surveying, engineering, GIS, environmental services, permitting, energy, or related fields.

• Accountability for scope, schedules, budgets, and communication with clients.

• Experience in coordinating technical teams, transitioning between field and office work, and delivering client-facing site, survey, mapping, permitting, or similar project tasks.

• Proven experience in preparing proposals, project budgets, effort estimates, and tracking project performance and scope modifications.

• Working knowledge of surveying/geospatial, civil/site, environmental, or permitting delivery processes.

• Capability to define scope, phases, tasks, dependencies, resource requirements, milestones, and critical paths.

• Ability to interpret budgets, hours, progress, remaining work, variances, forecasts, and scope specifications.

• Effective coordination with clients and teams across multiple assignments.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and project management tools.

• Reliable internet access and a designated, quiet workspace are essential.

• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing detailed drawings, maps, technical documents, and spreadsheets.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States and operate within continental U.S. time zones.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Preferred: PMP or similar project management certification.

• Preferred: Experience with Colorado upstream oil and gas site planning and permitting.
