Project Manager – Settlements

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• CPA is looking for a seasoned, highly organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Project Manager for Settlements to provide operational, analytical, compliance, and additional support to our expanding team.

• The Project Manager for Settlements will be tasked with reviewing and identifying discrepancies in our California Independent System Operator (CASIO) and bilateral counterparty invoices, validating transactions related to wholesale market products, and conducting post-analysis on settlements and Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR).

• Reporting to the Senior Manager of Market Operations, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, including but not limited to the Power Supply and Finance departments.

• Oversee the CAISO settlement process for assigned less complex charge codes, which includes validating weekly CAISO settlement statements, identifying and rectifying discrepancies, and resolving disputes with the CAISO to recover erroneous charges.

• Responsible for reviewing and validating bilateral counterparty settlements for assigned less complex contracts within CPA's Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

• Validate transactions regarding energy, Resource Adequacy capacity, Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), carbon-free energy, and other wholesale products.

• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and consultants, exhibiting a highly collaborative approach.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience with programming languages (e.g., SQL), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, and SAS) is advantageous.
