Project Manager – SAP S/4HANA Upgrade

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire SAP S/4HANA upgrade initiative from the initial preparation stage to production deployment and post-deployment stabilization.

• Take ownership of the comprehensive upgrade plan, which includes schedules, resources, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.

• Direct project phases in alignment with SAP Activate, covering preparation, Sandbox, development, quality assurance, testing, and production deployment.

• Organize integrated, regression, and performance testing campaigns.

• Develop and implement the cutover strategy.

• Liaise with SAP/BASIS teams, business process owners, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams, partners, and suppliers.

• Oversee project governance, change control, risk tracking, and reporting to senior management.

• Support change management, training, documentation, and post-go-live stabilization efforts.

• Collaborate with both internal and external teams in a complex, highly regulated setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP project management.

• Practical experience managing SAP S/4HANA upgrades, preferably transitioning from a 2020/2021 version to 2023 or later.

• Strong proficiency in the SAP Activate methodology.

• Extensive experience in Supply Chain and Manufacturing sectors.

• Background in organizations with over 10,000 employees.

• Experience with global SAP projects involving multiple teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with working in a highly regulated environment.

• Capability to coordinate multiple suppliers and partners simultaneously.

• Significant experience in planning and leading testing, cutover, and go-live activities.

• Strong understanding of project governance, including schedules, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and RAID registers.

• Effective communication skills with technical teams, business leaders, and senior management.

• Experience in custom code remediation during an S/4HANA upgrade is advantageous.

• Knowledge of SAP BASIS and SAP architecture is beneficial.

• Experience with large-scale testing and post-go-live hypercare/stabilization is a plus.

• PMP, PRINCE2, or SAP certifications are considered assets.

• Proficiency in English is required; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
