Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services to the retail client account.

• Oversee retail fit-outs and relocations from start to finish.

• Manage the planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases of commercial real estate projects.

• Collaborate with clients to outline the scope of work, resources, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, quality control measures, and risk identification.

• Determine project delivery resources from pre-approved lists or through the project qualification process.

• Conduct requests for proposals, complete bid assessments, and recommend resources to clients.

• Establish project documentation governance in alignment with company and client standards.

• Ensure the integrity of project data and maintain accurate, timely, and coordinated documentation.

• Create action plans to achieve objectives, budget constraints, and schedules.

• Monitor project progress and report on status and variances.

• Identify potential project risks and formulate risk mitigation and contingency plans.

• Execute strategies to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Apply standard principles and techniques to complex tasks while providing innovative solutions.

• Mentor team members and share expertise.

• Exemplify company values and lead by example.

• Foster consensus and persuade others to achieve agreement.

• Influence customer, operational, project, and service activities across interconnected teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 5–8 years of relevant experience.

• In the absence of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Experience in retail commercial real estate construction project management is required.

• Vendor management experience is highly desired.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with Smartsheet is advantageous.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices.

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings.

• LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designations are preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills with an inquisitive mindset.
