Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee commercial real estate projects from inception to completion.

• Direct the planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases for retail fit-outs and relocations.

• Collaborate with clients to develop scope of work, identify resource needs, create cost estimates, establish budgets, develop schedules, ensure quality control, and identify risks.

• Determine project delivery resources.

• Conduct requests for proposals, assess bids, and advise clients on resource recommendations.

• Enforce project documentation governance while ensuring data integrity and timely, accurate documentation.

• Create action plans aimed at achieving objectives, budgets, and schedules.

• Monitor project progress and provide status updates along with any variances.

• Recognize project threats and formulate risk mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Execute plans to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Utilize standard principles and techniques for complex tasks, offering innovative solutions.

• Mentor colleagues and share expertise in the subject area.

• Exemplify and promote CBRE RISE values through leadership.

• Foster consensus and persuade others to achieve agreement.

• Assist customer, operational, project, and service activities across related teams.

• Travel around 25% to client locations nationwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, accompanied by 5–8 years of relevant experience.

• In the absence of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be taken into account.

• Required experience in managing retail commercial real estate construction projects.

• Strongly preferred: experience in vendor management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Experience with Smartsheet is advantageous.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction methodologies.

• Capability to interpret architectural drawings.

• Preferred designations: LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a keen inquisitive nature.
