Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services to a retail client account to achieve strategic business goals.

• Oversee retail fit-out and relocation projects from inception to completion.

• Manage planning, design, construction, occupancy, and project closeout for commercial real estate initiatives.

• Collaborate with clients to create scopes of work, identify resource needs, estimate costs, develop budgets, establish schedules, ensure quality control, and identify risks.

• Define the resources required for project delivery.

• Conduct requests for proposals, assess bids, and provide resource recommendations to clients.

• Enforce project documentation governance.

• Ensure the integrity of project data and maintain accurate, timely, and coordinated documentation.

• Develop action plans to achieve objectives, adhere to budgets, and meet schedules.

• Monitor project progress and report on status and variances.

• Recognize project threats and formulate risk mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Execute plans to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Utilize standard principles and techniques on complex assignments while offering innovative solutions.

• Mentor colleagues and share expertise in specific areas.

• Demonstrate leadership by modeling CBRE RISE values.

• Foster consensus and persuade others to reach agreements.

• Influence customer, operational, project, and service activities across interconnected teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred along with 5–8 years of relevant experience.

• In the absence of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Preferred designations include LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM.

• Experience in retail commercial real estate construction project management is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is necessary.

• Experience with Smartsheet is advantageous.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices is expected.

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings is essential.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a highly inquisitive mindset are required.
