Project Manager – Residential Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Supervise residential construction projects from the development of scope through to final completion.

• Create and coordinate project scopes of work in collaboration with field leadership and design teams.

• Oversee project schedules, budgets, costs, and performance metrics.

• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

• Collaborate with the Director of Construction, Design Manager, and sales and estimating departments.

• Manage requests for quotations (RFQs), permits, project documentation, and administrative tasks.

• Coordinate the management of materials and resource availability.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or challenges, and implement effective solutions.

• Maintain open lines of communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Handle multiple projects while ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and operational standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of project management experience, preferably within residential or custom home construction.

• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, terminology, and workflows.

• Proven experience in managing teams or coordinating multiple stakeholders within a structured project management environment.

• A background in civil engineering, construction management, building trades, or a related field is highly desirable.

• Experience in overseeing construction schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and project execution.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.

• Capability to work independently while also collaborating with a distributed team.

• Willingness to work full-time (40 hours per week) during U.S. Central Time hours.

• Practical experience on construction sites or within the building trades.

• Previous involvement with custom home builds, single-family residential construction, or multifamily projects.

• Experience managing construction or estimating teams.

• Familiarity with architectural drawings, design processes, and construction planning.

• Proficient in using Buildertrend or similar residential construction project management software.

• Ability to swiftly learn and adapt to new project management tools and systems.
