This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• The Project Quality Specialist is tasked with creating and implementing standardization for manufacturing quality enablers.
• The role requires a creative problem solver who is proactive and dedicated to identifying and addressing vehicle quality issues.
• The Engineer should have experience in cross-functional management and possess extensive knowledge across the automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality sectors, along with exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Conducting root cause analysis for quality-related problems.
• Proposing and executing cost-effective permanent corrective measures.
• Analyzing quality data from both internal and external sources.
• Overseeing engineering changes in collaboration with a cross-functional team to ensure timely implementation.
• Performing product evaluation tests to verify the robustness of product or process changes prior to full-scale rollout, and serving as the main contact for engineering quality and all product-related issues.
• Ensuring the delivery of third-party quality metrics.
• Planning, prioritizing, setting objectives, and managing multiple projects within a technical and business framework.
• Supporting meetings at all organizational levels, including with senior leadership.
• Building partnerships both internally and externally.
• Acting as the Voice of the Customer to platform teams and contributing to team success by clarifying expectations and reducing political obstacles.
• Conducting audits of vehicle assembly plants.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace/Aeronautical.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Familiarity with advanced problem-solving tools (Kepner-Tregoe, Shainin Red X, Design of Experiments, etc.) is advantageous.
• Experience or knowledge in sustainability suppliers evaluation (SAQ) is preferred.
• Ability to compile and interpret data into actionable information.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and software.
• The Engineer should have a proven history of developing and implementing standardization, with experience in cross-functional responsibilities within a lean organization.
• Prior experience in managing Engineering Changes.
• A background in quality is essential.
• Experience in OEMS is considered a plus.
