Project Manager – Mission Video Management System

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee extensive security and information technology initiatives for the Government of Canada.

• Direct projects related to the Mission Video Management System (MVMS) and other essential security systems.

• Manage intricate government projects involving multiple stakeholders.

• Conduct management of scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder engagement.

• Provide governance and executive/project reporting.

• Assist with procurement activities, including planning, RFP development, contract management, and vendor oversight.

• Create Statements of Work.

• Strategically plan and implement projects across various organizations and locations.

• Support capital projects for the Government of Canada that involve IT infrastructure, security systems, and physical security technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 25 years of experience as a Project Manager, with relevant experience accumulated within the last 25 years.

• Proven track record in managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, stakeholder engagement, governance reporting, procurement support, and project planning/execution.

• Minimum of 5 consecutive years working on a Government project valued at no less than $40 million.

• Experience with projects that involve collaboration between more than two government departments or agencies.

• Involvement in 5 or more complex security projects, such as MVMS, video surveillance, physical security, access control, or security monitoring systems.

• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk on complex security projects.

• Experience on 5 or more projects that required governance committees, executive/project reporting, procurement planning, RFP development, contract management, vendor management, and Statement of Work creation.

• Involvement in 5 or more projects that engaged multiple government organizations, international missions, foreign embassies, consulates, or cross-departmental stakeholder groups.

• At least 5 years of experience supporting Government of Canada capital projects related to IT infrastructure, security systems, or physical security technologies.

• Familiarity with video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and security monitoring technologies.

• Current PMP certification or active PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.

• Valid ITIL certification.

• Current Canadian Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license.
