Project Manager – Major Correctives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the safe, compliant, and profitable implementation of assigned Major Component Upgrade and Blade projects, from the planning phase to project closeout.

• Ensure accountability for safety, quality, scheduling, costs, customer satisfaction, and adherence to contractual obligations.

• Promote a safety-first culture and manage EHS performance, including corrective actions, regulatory adherence, compliance with prevailing wage laws, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

• Take ownership of quality documentation, inspection records, punch lists, final customer acceptance, lessons learned, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Create execution plans, lead kickoff meetings, track progress, manage risks and recovery strategies, and conduct project reviews.

• Formulate project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, support invoicing, manage change orders, oversee cost recovery, and project profitability forecasts.

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, lead status meetings, provide progress updates, manage expectations, and address any concerns.

• Coordinate activities with subcontractors, crane providers, logistics vendors, and equipment suppliers.

• Collaborate with scheduling and resource management teams on staffing, equipment, mobilization, tooling, crane planning, logistics, outage planning, and readiness.

• Mentor future project leaders and promote teamwork across functional divisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience in the field will be considered.

• At least 2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial construction, heavy lift operations, field services, or similar industries.

• Proven experience in managing Major Component Upgrades, Blade projects, or other large-scale field operations.

• Familiarity with crane operations, lift planning, rigging practices, and site logistics.

• Experience in projects that operate in prevailing wage environments.

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Smartsheet, and project management software.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.

• Experience in wind turbine major component exchanges is preferred.

• Familiarity with blade repair or replacement projects is preferred.

• Knowledge of labor compliance and certified payroll processes is preferred.

• Experience in managing subcontracted workforces is preferred.

• Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

• Previous experience working directly with utility-scale renewable energy clients is preferred.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
