Project Manager – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Lead the comprehensive delivery of Cloud, Networking, Server, Infrastructure, and Technology Modernization projects.

• Manage the scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables throughout the project's lifecycle.

• Ensure projects align with technical, commercial, and customer expectations.

• Oversee multiple simultaneous infrastructure engagements and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

• Facilitate project workshops, technical discovery sessions, and meetings with stakeholders.

• Provide regular project updates and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies.

• Convert business and technical requirements into structured infrastructure delivery plans.

• Coordinate efforts with cloud architects, infrastructure engineers, network specialists, and technical delivery teams.

• Monitor project progress, dependencies, milestones, and resource allocation closely.

• Manage project risks, technical challenges, change requests, and implementation schedules.

• Coordinate infrastructure migrations, system upgrades, cloud deployments, testing, and production cutovers.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reporting, governance artifacts, and implementation records.

• Apply project management methodologies and best practices in infrastructure delivery.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery frameworks, governance processes, and operational standards.

• Support knowledge sharing across project delivery and infrastructure teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing end-to-end IT infrastructure, cloud, networking, or server migration projects.

• Strong background in delivering infrastructure transformation, cloud migration, and data center modernization initiatives.

• Experience managing multiple concurrent infrastructure projects while ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.

• Familiarity with complex enterprise environments and coordination of cross-functional technical teams.

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure technologies, including Azure, AWS, or Microsoft 365.

• Experience with server deployments, infrastructure upgrades, storage, virtualization, networking, and disaster recovery.

• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, switching, and wireless infrastructure.

• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V is highly desirable.

• Exposure to Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop is advantageous.

• Experience in applying Agile, PRINCE2, PMP, or Waterfall methodologies.

• Strong project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and delivery governance skills.

• Experience managing infrastructure cutovers, migration planning, change management, and technical implementation activities.

• Relevant Project Management or Microsoft certifications are highly regarded.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Capacity to engage and influence both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Skills in workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, and solution planning.

• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into structured project plans.
