This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Deliver comprehensive project management leadership from initiation to completion for the ASD Strategic Commercial Operations team.
• Oversee Commercial projects involving various internal teams to accomplish business goals and metrics.
• Collaborate with Project Sponsors to implement essential Commercial initiatives across the Analytical Services Division and associated business units.
• Establish and manage overall project timelines.
• Articulate decision requirements and facilitate both individual and team decision-making processes.
• Manage project budgets and ensure deliverables are within scope and financial constraints.
• Create project scopes, objectives, detailed plans, and allocate resources effectively.
• Recognize key issues and risks while proposing data-driven alternatives.
• Propel the execution of timelines and organizational change to achieve timely outcomes.
• Direct project execution while applying Project Management standards.
• Assess project performance utilizing appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Develop and sustain thorough project documentation.
• Compile reports for leadership and communicate project status to Sponsors and team members.
• Persuade project team members and Project Sponsors effectively.
• Challenge existing thought patterns and business processes.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred academic backgrounds: Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP certification or equivalent is preferred; Six Sigma/Lean certification is an advantage.
• Proven proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Capability to present to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, and work effectively within a matrix environment.
• Ability to manage 2+ projects and collaborate with team members across various departments and domestic time zones.
• Strong grasp of formal project management methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of project management practices and methodologies, including the PMI Body of Knowledge.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills along with executive presentation abilities.
• Process-oriented and structured working approach; adept at managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational influence.
• Keen attention to detail and effective time management skills.
