This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Act as the Project Lead and the primary point of contact for sponsors.
• Responsible for the overall delivery of the project, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
• Set and communicate customer expectations to the project team.
• Ensure that both internal and external escalation processes are adhered to.
• Define roles and communication paths for secondary project leads as necessary.
• Guide cross-functional project teams to achieve or surpass deliverables.
• Oversee project-level financial management, including understanding contracts, aligning resources with the budget, managing out-of-scope activities, and negotiating change management.
• Propel project team execution in accordance with established timelines.
• Identify risks and resolve issues at the project level.
• Ensure compliance of the project team with organizational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), ICH-GCP, regulatory standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Act as the project-level intermediary between the sponsor and the organization.
• Operate in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
• Over 8 years of relevant experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies for the role.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Global Lead Project Manager in conducting clinical trials from start to finish.
• Several years of proven experience in vendor management and oversight across a diverse range of vendor types.
• Experience in a minimum of two therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Proficient technical skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to delegate and prioritize workloads for oneself and project team members in a dynamic environment.
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of therapeutic areas and clinical development guidelines and directives.
• Solid understanding of project management principles regarding time, quality, and cost, along with financial acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
• Strong judgment, decision-making, critical thinking, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Skillful in negotiation, persuasion, and influence, with cross-cultural awareness.
• Adherence to organizational policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, regulatory standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Work within a global team environment at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
