Project Manager – Enterprise Endpoint & Network Migrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete project planning and execution for extensive customer network and endpoint migration projects.

• Create and sustain comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, and cutover strategies.

• Facilitate migration efforts among network engineering, endpoint engineering, security, infrastructure, service delivery, operations, vendors, and client teams.

• Handle multiple simultaneous migration projects and prioritize tasks based on customer impact, technical dependencies, and business schedules.

• Conduct project kickoffs, status updates, technical working sessions, migration readiness assessments, and executive briefings.

• Set clear ownership, deadlines, and escalation procedures across both internal and external stakeholders.

• Monitor project scope, timeline, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource needs until completion.

• Orchestrate migration waves, pilot implementations, production cutovers, validation efforts, and post-migration stabilization activities.

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure all migration prerequisites, testing, documentation, rollback plans, and operational readiness are finalized prior to cutover.

• Anticipate project risks and formulate mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Manage customer communications and deliver clear, concise updates on progress, risks, decisions, and next steps.

• Assist with change management and ensure project tasks align with established change-control and operational processes.

• Lead post-migration reviews to capture lessons learned and integrate improvements into future migration waves.

• Keep precise project documentation and guarantee proper handoffs to operational support teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience is required.

• Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance.

• 3–6 years of project or program management experience, ideally in technology infrastructure or IT transformation projects.

• Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure, network, endpoint, cloud, data center, or technology migration projects.

• Demonstrated capability to coordinate intricate projects involving various technical teams and stakeholders.

• Solid understanding of project management principles, including scope, schedule, dependencies, risk management, change control, and stakeholder engagement.

• Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders in a delivery setting.

• Excellent communication, organizational, facilitation, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to juggle competing priorities and multiple projects in a high-paced environment.

• Comfortable collaborating with technical teams and converting technical project details into clear business communications.

• Proficient with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.

• Preferred: Experience with network migrations, LAN/WAN transformations, SD-WAN, network modernization, endpoint refreshes, device migrations, or enterprise infrastructure consolidation.

• Preferred: Experience overseeing large customer migration programs across multiple sites, business divisions, or geographic areas.

• Preferred: Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

• Preferred: Experience coordinating third-party vendors, managed service providers, or technology partners.

• Preferred: Experience with migration planning, cutover management, rollback planning, and hypercare/stabilization.

• Preferred: Technical background or sufficient technical fluency to effectively collaborate with network, endpoint, infrastructure, and security engineering teams.
