Project Manager – Digital Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Take charge of a digital banking and payments transformation project currently in progress.

• Enhance the digital banking experience for small businesses and transition around 16,000 users from an outdated payments platform.

• Provide cash management solutions that include Bill Pay, invoicing, receivables management, digital payments, accounting integrations, merchant services enrollment, and small business payment options.

• Evaluate project scope, status, risks, dependencies, and overall health upon involvement.

• Create and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and status updates.

• Lead delivery across various business and technology streams.

• Facilitate project governance, executive reporting, and communications with stakeholders.

• Oversee risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and escalation processes.

• Coordinate efforts among business, operations, technology, compliance, and vendor teams.

• Support execution in both hybrid Agile and Waterfall environments.

• Supervise Scrum team execution, sprint activities, and dependency management.

• Foster consensus, drive decision-making, eliminate blockers, and ensure alignment with business priorities.

• Confirm that implementation plans take into account compliance, operational readiness, and customer experience factors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of Project Management experience leading complex initiatives.

• Proven experience in delivering financial services projects.

• Background in banking, credit union, fintech, payments, treasury management, cash management, or digital banking projects.

• Knowledge of compliance, security, operational, and regulatory factors.

• Experience managing projects that integrate Agile delivery teams with traditional project governance.

• Strong capabilities in overseeing Scrum teams and managing dependencies.

• Ability to take over ongoing projects and quickly assess project health.

• Skill in identifying risks, gaps, and dependencies while ensuring delivery momentum.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and alignment skills at the executive level.

• Experience in payments modernization projects.

• Familiarity with cash management or treasury management platforms.

• Background in digital banking transformation initiatives.

• Experience with financial services technology implementations.

• Familiarity with Fiserv or similar banking/payment platforms.

• Experience with system integrations and technology migration efforts.

• Background in vendor-managed implementations.

• Experience with customer experience modernization initiatives.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly regulated settings.
