Project Manager – Defense, Offshore, Customer Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Direct and oversee several large-scale electrification projects throughout all stages, from order placement to installation and commissioning.

• Organize, coordinate, and implement engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and site operations across GE Vernova and partnered subcontractors.

• Fulfill contractual obligations regarding scope, cost, quality, and timelines.

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, managing their expectations and fostering relationships.

• Lead diverse project teams, ensuring accountability and promoting collaborative efforts.

• Oversee daily project operations, adapting to evolving customer and business requirements.

• Track and communicate project milestones and revenue projections.

• Take ownership of project financial outcomes, including revenue, contribution margin, costs, cash collection, and adherence to regional business objectives.

• Conduct regular project reviews, financial evaluations, and progress updates for internal stakeholders and clients.

• Organize and present kick-off meetings, status updates, customer communications, risk and opportunity assessments, and close-out documentation.

• Identify, escalate, and address project risks and challenges.

• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget while maintaining customer satisfaction and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university or college.

• At least 5 years of practical experience as a Project Manager, directly overseeing the complete lifecycle delivery of intricate Electrical and Automation systems projects.

• Experience in the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Installation & Commissioning phases.

• Previous experience in electrification-centric sectors such as Marine, Offshore Energy, Utilities, Power Systems, or Process Industries.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• U.S. Citizenship or the ability to secure a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

• Willingness and capability to travel up to 25%.

• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems for project tracking and financial oversight.

• PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification.

• Experience in customer-facing roles, especially in service delivery or project execution settings.

• Prior experience in Marine, Offshore, or Defense industry sectors.

• Technical knowledge of power conversion systems, automation and controls, and electrical power systems.

• Strong decision-making and prioritization capabilities.

• Ability to obtain clearance for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if necessary.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if required.
