This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Support Project Managers in the daily execution of assigned projects from initiation to completion.
• Organize scope documents, contract files, submittals, and execution plans effectively.
• Prepare, distribute, and monitor RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and action-item logs.
• Read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and technical specifications under the guidance of the Project Manager.
• Identify issues, open questions, and possible constraints to communicate to the supervising Project Manager.
• Monitor labor, material, and subcontractor expenses against project budgets.
• Maintain cost logs, purchase order documentation, and forecasting spreadsheets.
• Assist in the documentation of change orders and supporting materials for the Project Manager and client review.
• Update project schedules and milestone trackers as needed.
• Track progress against timelines and gather status updates from field and internal teams.
• Prepare weekly status reports, dashboards, and lookahead summaries for project stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Document and disseminate meeting minutes and action items post-meeting.
• Organize meeting logistics, agendas, and follow-up actions.
• Facilitate communication with internal team members and, when necessary, external stakeholders.
• Engage in onboarding, mentorship check-ins, and training related to company tools and standards.
• Complete a capstone project or presentation summarizing work undertaken and key lessons learned at the end of the term.
• Fulfill assigned tasks and deliverables punctually and within budget constraints.
• Perform additional related duties as required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; recent graduates within 6 months may also be considered.
• Preference for rising juniors or seniors.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Capability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and proactively seek clarification in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in construction, mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, or building automation and controls.
• Active enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program is required.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
• Coursework in project management, construction, engineering, or scheduling is advantageous.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Ability to navigate through offices, job sites, and warehouse settings as necessary.
• Capability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Any air travel necessitates REAL ID-compliant identification or a passport.
• Direct mentorship from seasoned Project Managers in the mission-critical and data center sectors.
• Practical experience with active projects, tangible deliverables, and industry-standard tools.
• Structured feedback and an end-of-term performance evaluation.
