Project Manager – Climate Protection Technologies, Building Energy Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Technical and organizational oversight of the subprojects “Carnot battery-based thermal storage technology” and “Constructive efficiency and modular lightweight construction”

• Collaboration with technical partners

• Development and refinement of analyses for building energy assessments and energy management

• Preparation of interim and final technical reports under the supervision of project management

• Creation of technical documentation for the funding agency

• Management of administrative and reporting tasks related to project reporting

• Networking with established industry players, start-ups, and other cleantech stakeholders

• Coordination with consortium partners from academia, public institutions, and medium-sized enterprises

• Integration of FCA’s mission to bridge innovation gaps throughout the project

• Occasional travel for consortium meetings and site visits in Remscheid, approximately 2–4 times per year

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed technical degree, such as engineering, energy engineering, building services engineering, or a comparable qualification

• Experience in managing and executing publicly funded projects, preferably including technical reporting to funding agencies

• Fundamental understanding of building energy management: heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic hot water, and lighting

• Preferably knowledgeable in thermal storage technologies and/or constructive building efficiency

• Capability to present technical content clearly and appropriately for target audiences in interim and final reports

• Experience working with industrial companies, SMEs, or academic partners is advantageous

• Independent and organized approach to work

• Readiness to undertake administrative reporting duties

• Proficient in German and competent in English, both written and spoken

• Residence in Germany is required

• Ideally located in North Rhine-Westphalia or willing to make 2–4 business trips per year to Remscheid
