Project Manager – CCPI Pilot Coordination, Community of Practice Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Strategic Planning Division/Center for Care and Payment Innovation.

• Act as the Task Order Project Manager and the primary Contractor liaison with SPD/CCPI and the Contracting Officer’s Representative.

• Manage a portfolio of up to six simultaneous pilots along with related CCPI program management activities.

• Ensure the Government-approved Project Management Plan, Project Charter, integrated schedule, milestones, RAID Log, and Stakeholder Registry are maintained.

• Create and manage a Portfolio Management Dashboard that includes status updates, milestones, risks, dependencies, decision points, and funding information.

• Conduct weekly status meetings with the COR and generate Weekly Task Reports.

• Develop semi-monthly budget and schedule trackers as well as Monthly Progress Reports outlining budget, schedule, staffing, and performance metrics.

• Draft scoping letters for new in-scope requirements as requested by the Government.

• Facilitate working sessions, stakeholder meetings, and decision-making forums.

• Maintain centralized repositories, action trackers, and risk/issue logs.

• Collaborate with the Program Director, Pilot Project Manager, Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Specialist, and Technical Writer/Editor.

• Create executive-ready briefing materials for SES leadership, governance bodies, and Congressional reports.

• Monitor approved scope changes and keep organized project files using version control and records management practices.

• Provide timely updates on status, schedule, risks, issues, and performance metrics to support informed decision-making.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).

• At least four (4) years of experience in successfully managing a large-scale, complex program that includes multiple projects.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting a large corporation or government agency, ideally within a large health care organization.

• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication capabilities.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential and successfully pass a VA background investigation.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

• Desired: Master’s degree.

• Desired: Eight (8) or more years of experience managing large-scale, complex programs or projects, preferably in a large health care organization.

• Desired: Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or Veterans Health Administration (VHA), especially in program/portfolio management, pilot or innovation programs, or value-based health care initiatives.

• Desired: Familiarity with federal health care environments and legislatively directed pilot programs, waiver processes, or enterprise transformation initiatives.

• Desired: Experience in developing executive-level dashboards, status reporting, and portfolio-management tools for senior leadership, governance boards, or Congressional audiences.

• Desired: Additional relevant certification(s) (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Change Management).
