Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop project governance frameworks, project plans, timelines, milestones, and risk management registers.

• Liaise with government ministries, Fiserv, American Express, Liquor Distribution Branch, and various third-party vendors.

• Oversee the setup of merchant accounts, location identifiers, financial coding, and payment reporting configurations.

• Manage the replacement process for approximately 460 POS terminals and 1,000 PIN pads.

• Supervise the migration of around 50 e-commerce applications to the Fiserv payment gateway.

• Coordinate application testing, payment certification processes, integrations, production cutover, and issue resolution.

• Handle dependencies associated with the ongoing FIS Treasury Management System implementation.

• Set up user access, operational support systems, training documentation, and chargeback/retrieval reporting processes.

• Ensure compliance with PCI requirements and readiness for the upcoming 2027 audit.

• Manage project budgets, handle change requests, allocate resources, deliverables, and ensure stakeholder expectations are met.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of project management experience within the last 7 years across one or more recognized project management domains.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, science, information technology, engineering, or another technology-related discipline; specified professional certifications may be accepted in lieu.

• Participation in a minimum of 3 projects lasting 8 months or longer, showcasing stakeholder communication, coordination, and consensus-building skills.

• A minimum of 3 years managing multidisciplinary teams and developing feasibility studies, business cases, and Treasury Board submissions.

• Proven experience in preparing project charters and master project plans, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating both internal resources and contractors.

• Experience handling change requests and budget proposals that involve costs, schedules, resources, deliverables, and project interdependencies.

• Proficient in using project management tools, such as Microsoft Project.

• Capability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders, including government or broader public-sector entities.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• Experience in the banking, financial services, or credit card industries is preferred.

• Familiarity with payment processing, merchant services, POS terminal deployment, or payment gateway migration is preferred.

• Experience with e-commerce application migration, system integration, testing, certification, and production cutover is preferred.

• Knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger interfaces, treasury management systems, and PCI compliance is preferred.

• Strong skills in meeting facilitation, vendor management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience in preparing succinct meeting notes, tracking action items, and facilitating decisions among diverse stakeholder groups.
