Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of applications and systems projects from initiation to customer delivery, utilizing the SAFe DevSecOps framework.

• Guide Agile Scrum teams, products, and processes throughout the project lifecycle.

• Collaborate with technical leads to facilitate CI/CD pipelines, application delivery, and infrastructure modernization efforts.

• Create and manage project timelines, budgets, performance metrics, and delivery milestones using Agile project management tools and methodologies.

• Monitor and report on project milestones, risks, dependencies, obstacles, and escalation needs to program leadership and stakeholders.

• Communicate project vision, strategy, roadmaps, and anticipated deliveries to VA leadership and governance bodies.

• Align priorities, dependencies, and implementation strategies across the wider portfolio.

• Assume additional duties and responsibilities as necessary to assist team goals and ensure project success.

• Work with technical leads, development teams, VA leadership, stakeholders, and governance groups within a cross-functional Agile team setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience in managing IT projects.

• Significant experience overseeing complex, large-scale IT projects throughout the complete application or systems development lifecycle.

• Proven experience leading Agile Scrum teams and implementing lifecycle and project management methodologies in software development settings.

• Established capability to monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, performance, risks, dependencies, and delivery progression.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convert technical project activities into executive-level reports, correspondence, and presentations.

• Strong leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and risk management skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and function effectively in high-pressure environments.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• All chosen candidates must successfully pass a background check.

• Ability to secure and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including necessary fingerprinting, if required for the role.

• PMP, SAFe, Scrum, or other relevant project management or Agile certifications are preferred.

• Prior IT project management experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or another federal agency is preferred.

• Previous experience in strategic management or management consulting is preferred.
