This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Assist in the creation of project scopes, timelines, and milestones that align with lease agreements and owner delivery commitments.
• Evaluate owner plans to ensure adherence to building standards and design regulations.
• Oversee permitting processes and track their progress.
• Facilitate contractor bidding, onboarding, and site mobilization activities.
• Perform regular site visits to monitor construction progress, document site conditions, and confirm compliance with approved designs.
• Identify and report any delays, quality issues, and discrepancies in scope.
• Manage drawings, submittals, permits, schedules, change orders, and communication.
• Collaborate with owner and development teams to ensure alignment of build-out needs with project specifications.
• Assess vendor invoices, change orders, and proposals prior to approval.
• Provide updates on financial tracking and communicate impacts on the budget.
• Assist in the selection and coordination of architects, engineers, specialty consultants, and general contractors.
• Monitor vendor performance to ensure that quality, schedule, and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
• Guarantee compliance with building codes, permitting requirements, and internal construction standards.
• Support quality control measures.
• Prepare project status reports for internal stakeholders and leadership.
• Suggest enhancements to processes, tools, and documentation workflows.
• Oversee daily coordination of corporate construction projects, encompassing scheduling, communication, document review, and site oversight.
• Manage vendor activities within assigned limits and offer recommendations on cost proposals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Design, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• 3–6 years of experience in construction project management, architecture, or similar areas.
• Strong comprehension of construction drawings, building systems, codes, and permitting procedures.
• Experience in managing or coordinating construction projects.
• Proficient in project management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ideally have experience with Procore or plan review software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Ability to navigate active construction sites, including walking, standing, climbing, or bending.
• Must be able to work around typical construction hazards.
• Travel may be required, up to 10%.
• Ability to collaborate with owners, contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of local building codes, permitting requirements, and company construction standards.
