Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a portfolio comprising multiple penetration testing projects for small to medium-sized businesses across web, mobile, infrastructure, and cloud platforms.

• Facilitate internal pre-engagement discussions to ensure that projects are clearly defined and feasible prior to commencement.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource distributions.

• Oversee changes in scope, schedule modifications, and budget implications with proper documentation and client communication.

• Proactively identify and address project risks before they impact delivery.

• Coordinate deliverables among delivery, operations, and marketing teams.

• Serve as the primary liaison for assigned clients throughout the entire engagement process.

• Conduct client kickoffs, status updates, and post-delivery debriefings.

• Establish clear expectations, provide timely updates, and navigate critical security discussions.

• Manage challenging conversations with professionalism and escalate issues as necessary.

• Contribute to the enhancement of PMO processes, templates, and tools.

• Ensure accurate project documentation and tracking is maintained.

• Recognize engagement trends that could enhance scoping, delivery, or communication.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of project management experience in IT services, consulting, or professional services sectors.

• Proven experience in independently managing multiple concurrent client engagements.

• Excellent client-facing abilities, including conducting scoping calls, handling scope change discussions, and performing CIO debriefs.

• Demonstrated proficiency in managing scope, schedule, and budget throughout project lifecycles.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exceptional organizational discipline with a focus on early issue escalation.

• Self-sufficient and reliable in a remote working setup.

• Customer-first mindset with a strong commitment to follow-through.

• Ability to navigate difficult conversations, scope adjustments, timeline pressures, scheduling conflicts, and escalations.

• Preferred but not mandatory: Experience in cybersecurity, penetration testing, or information security consulting.

• Preferred but not mandatory: PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum certification.

• Preferred but not mandatory: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, communications, or a related field.

• Preferred but not mandatory: Familiarity with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, NIST, or ISO 27001 standards.

• Preferred but not mandatory: Experience with tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.

• Preferred but not mandatory: Background working alongside technical consultants or engineering teams.

• Ability to manage penetration testing projects across web, mobile, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

• Commitment to ongoing development of cybersecurity knowledge and understanding of penetration testing deliverables.
