Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete deployment of the SIS platform, from the initial kickoff to the go-live phase.

• Facilitate discovery workshops with campus stakeholders to outline institutional needs and existing workflows.

• Manage project schedules, monitor milestones, address risks, and provide status updates to internal teams and client steering committees.

• Assist institutions in navigating change management during the transition to a modern SaaS environment.

• Conduct post-implementation evaluations and contribute to enhancing methodologies and playbooks.

• Act as a subject matter expert in higher education operations, focusing on areas such as admissions, registration, grading, degree auditing, and financial aid.

• Collaborate with staff to revamp legacy processes according to platform best practices.

• Ensure that configurations align with FERPA, Title IV, and regional regulatory compliance standards.

• Advocate for responsible data governance throughout the implementation process.

• Set up predictive analytics models and early-warning systems for identifying at-risk students.

• Utilize AI-driven tools for data mapping, cleansing, and automation to facilitate data migration and enhance client outcomes.

• Define integration requirements for SIS with LMS, CRM, and ERP/financial systems.

• Convert complex academic policies into technical configurations.

• Create and deliver training sessions for campus staff prior to the go-live date.

• Develop consultative relationships with university leadership to identify opportunities for platform expansion.

• Collaborate with Sales and Account Management on strategies for account growth, proposals, and renewals.

• Analyze customer feedback and implementation challenges to inform product roadmap enhancements.

• Performance will be assessed based on on-time go-live rates, CSAT/NPS scores, training completion and effectiveness, post-go-live support ticket volume, install-base revenue growth, and contributions to process improvements.

• Experience in professional services, implementation, or project management within the realm of higher education technology or SIS platforms.

• Proven track record in developing and delivering impactful training programs for diverse stakeholder groups.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with experience in managing escalated customer issues and driving innovative solutions.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools to enhance processes such as data migration, workflow automation, or analytics.

• Solid understanding of higher education operations and regulatory frameworks, including FERPA, Title IV, and data governance principles.

• Demonstrated capability to identify and secure upsell or cross-sell opportunities within an existing client base, with a comfort level in consultative selling and contributing to proposals.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills across all levels of institutional stakeholders.

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.

• Direct hands-on experience implementing SIS platforms (e.g., Ellucian, Jenzabar, or similar).

• Experience with AI-driven data migration or analytics tools in an enterprise setting.

• Background in change management methodologies or the development of data governance policies.

• Proven success in meeting or surpassing install-base revenue targets in a professional services context.

• Occasional travel within the US is necessary for on-site client training and implementation support.
