Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive project planning and execution, encompassing scoping, scheduling, resourcing, and tracking milestones.

• Develop and sustain project plans, roadmaps, and status updates.

• Act as the main point of contact for external clients and partners.

• Manage expectations, provide status updates, and synchronize delivery timelines.

• Identify, assess, and resolve project risks, obstacles, and technical challenges.

• Facilitate daily standups, planning meetings, retrospectives, and client check-ins.

• Convert business and client requirements into detailed project plans and engineering tasks.

• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and quality; proactively escalate and resolve issues.

• Maintain project charters, status reports, decision logs, and materials for clients.

• Collaborate with engineering leads to address bottlenecks, dependency conflicts, and process gaps.

• Assist in post-project evaluations and the ongoing enhancement of project management processes and tools.

• Serve as a bridge between internal teams and external clients or partners.

• Lead status updates, business reviews, and discussions focused on issue resolution with clients.

• Highlight client risks along with mitigation strategies and realistic timelines.

• Navigate competing priorities across various client or partner accounts.

• Coordinate technical troubleshooting for issues reported by clients.

• Collect and document client feedback and requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years (or equivalent experience) in managing technical projects.

• Ideally, experience in software development, data platforms, or enterprise IT environments.

• Capability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines concurrently.

• Proven troubleshooting skills for technical issues and cross-team collaboration.

• Experience working directly with external clients or partners.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies.

• Practical experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Understanding of APIs, cloud environments, and data pipelines.

• Experience utilizing AI tools for enhancing productivity, documentation, reporting, analysis, planning, communication, and delivery workflows.

• PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification is advantageous.
