Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Take charge of comprehensive project planning and implementation, which encompasses scoping, scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.

• Develop and sustain project plans, roadmaps, and progress reports.

• Act as the main point of contact for external clients and partners.

• Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate project status, and coordinate delivery schedules.

• Identify, assess, and address project risks, obstacles, and technical challenges.

• Lead stand-up meetings, planning sessions, retrospectives, and client check-ins.

• Convert business and client needs into organized project plans and engineering tasks.

• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall project health.

• Maintain project charters, status updates, decision logs, and client-facing documentation.

• Collaborate with engineering leads to resolve bottlenecks, dependency issues, and process deficiencies.

• Assist in post-project evaluations and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Conduct client-facing status updates, business reviews, and discussions to resolve issues.

• Collect and document client feedback and requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of experience (or equivalent) managing technical projects, preferably within software development, data platforms, or enterprise IT settings.

• Strong organizational abilities with a track record of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines concurrently.

• Proven troubleshooting skills.

• Experience collaborating directly with external clients or partners, including managing expectations and navigating challenging conversations.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies.

• Practical experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Comfortable with fundamental technical concepts including APIs, cloud environments, and data pipelines.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity, documentation, reporting, analysis, project planning, communication, and delivery workflows.

• PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification is an advantage.
