This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead and develop a comprehensive cross-functional project planning process from the initial discovery and intake phase to execution.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to determine project requirements and ensure alignment with marketing objectives.
• Design and sustain project schedules, monitor progress, and proactively address risks and issues.
• Coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams and facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist business partners in decision-making to meet project goals.
• Manage team capacity and utilize data-driven insights for trade-offs across the project pipeline.
• Enhance process efficiencies and drive operational improvements.
• Provide guidance on project risks and spearhead mitigation strategies.
• Ensure transparency regarding project status, expenditures, priorities, and resource allocation.
• Partner with internal teams and external agencies to craft marketing campaigns that engage fans, boost attendance, and elevate brand recognition.
• Supervise campaign execution in adherence to timelines, brand standards, and legal stipulations.
• Track campaign performance and evaluate key performance metrics.
• Adapt and expand systems and projects to meet the league’s global requirements.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders in marketing, communications, events, and sponsorship.
• Collaborate with external partners, sponsors, and vendors.
• Provide regular project updates and develop presentation materials for leadership.
• Conduct evaluations post-project and implement enhancements.
• Stay updated on trends, technologies, and best practices within the sports marketing landscape.
• Oversee project budgets, expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Allocate and optimize resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source vendors and negotiate contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project management, ideally in a marketing or technology-focused environment.
• Proficient in Adobe Workfront project management software.
• Strong knowledge of marketing principles, campaign development, and brand management.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across various levels.
• Proven capability to think strategically, address challenges, and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with project-specific technologies and tools relevant to the industry.
• A passion for sports coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the global sports sector.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) credential.
• Practical experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies, including the ability to blend practices effectively.
• Aptitude for grasping architectural and technical aspects of projects.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Remote work opportunity from home.
• 40 hours per week with occasional weekend commitments.
• Up to 10% domestic travel required, mainly on weekdays.
