This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee all elements and stages of various solar EPC projects and programs concurrently.
• Ensure projects are delivered within deadlines, budgets, and adhere to health, safety, contract, quality, and legal standards.
• Coordinate, supervise, and direct internal project teams along with external subcontractors, consultants, clients, utilities, and development partners.
• Procure subcontractors and lead the processes of vetting, qualification, referencing, scoping, price negotiation, and contracting.
• Handle project administration, site safety, field quality control, project meetings, document management, submittals, staff planning, construction documentation, close-out, and commissioning.
• Oversee project budgets, expenses, revenue, margins, schedules, subcontractor payments, and project billings.
• Monitor actual project P&L against plans on a monthly basis and forecast revenues, costs, and margins.
• Develop baseline schedules and provide weekly and monthly updates using MS Project and/or Primavera.
• Implement health, safety, quality assurance, inspection, and testing protocols.
• Ensure adherence to contracts, laws, permits, codes, and regulatory standards.
• Obtain and maintain approvals from customers, interconnection providers, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Assist origination, development, financing, and engineering teams with pricing, design, permitting, compliance, and project constraints.
• Conduct project diligence, including site reconnaissance, geotechnical work, and investigations.
• Attend AHJ meetings and contribute to project design and construction documentation.
• Communicate project status updates to internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
• Refresh project progress on the company's project management platform.
• Supervise matrix-based project staff and external subcontractors and vendors.
• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 5–7+ years of progressive experience in construction and/or development.
• Experience in roles such as Project Manager, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Development Engineer, or Project Superintendent.
• Proven experience managing community solar and/or utility-scale photovoltaic systems exceeding 3–5 MW, preferably over 10 MW.
• Experience overseeing multiple community-scale solar projects at the same time.
• Knowledge of solar interconnections into utility distribution and/or transmission grids at 12kV or higher.
• Advanced comprehension of contracts, plans, specifications, codes, design/build contracts, and construction means and methods.
• Familiarity with land development and project financial closure requirements.
• Required experience in large-scale cut-and-fill earthwork or landfill construction.
• Required experience subcontracting industrial or large commercial electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of contract language and contract negotiation processes.
• Knowledge of project cost accounting and tracking procedures.
• Ability to design and implement project work plans.
• Strong experience in construction logistics, scheduling, estimating, and budgeting.
• Prior experience using Procore for solar project management, contracting, and quality control.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to frequently travel to North American project sites with diverse terrain and weather conditions.
