Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute moderately complex projects successfully from initiation to closure.

• Utilize standard tools and resources as specified in ITD’s PMO Project Playbook.

• Promote a collaborative environment within project teams.

• Manage project phases while overseeing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk constraints.

• Coordinate with technology teams, operational partners, and stakeholders regarding project scope and timelines.

• Address requirements for build and integration, operational readiness, training needs, and cost-containment opportunities.

• Create project charters and assemble cross-functional teams.

• Facilitate regular project team meetings.

• Define and oversee project scope, success criteria, and stakeholder requirements.

• Generate work breakdown structures, timelines, and resource plans.

• Implement structured change-control processes.

• Supervise daily execution, milestones, schedules, and team interdependencies.

• Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and fulfill business objectives.

• Monitor project performance against established scope, schedule, and cost baselines.

• Analyze variances, manage changes, and execute corrective actions.

• Provide reporting, dashboards, and updates to stakeholders.

• Create and manage budgets, forecast costs, and oversee expenses.

• Coordinate and enhance resource allocation among internal teams and vendors.

• Identify and assess risks, maintaining risk and issue registers.

• Implement mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Develop and execute communication plans for stakeholders.

• Manage stakeholder expectations through updates, influence, and negotiation.

• Lead procurement processes, negotiate contracts, and maintain vendor relationships.

• Monitor vendor performance and ensure alignment with service-level agreements.

• Conclude projects, conduct lessons-learned sessions, and facilitate stakeholder reviews.

• Finalize documentation and guarantee a seamless handoff or transition.

• Carry out other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required.

• Equivalent project management experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

• A minimum of four years of experience in project management is necessary.

• ITIL Foundations certification is required within six months of starting for caregivers in the Information Technology Division.

• Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, or a Certificate in Project Management from an accredited institution.

• Preferred: Four years of experience managing IT construction projects within a healthcare environment.

• Familiarity with infrastructure, including server setup, structured cabling, data center setup, device and systems integration, and HIPAA compliance.

• Preferred: Four years of experience facilitating the implementation of healthcare-related technology that supports patient care entities, care teams, or healthcare support functions.

• Ability to lead multiple technical teams through assessment, planning, and sequencing of IT implementation tasks.

• Preferred: Two to three years of experience gathering requirements, planning, and orchestrating AI solution deployments.

• Experience collaborating with application owners, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.

• Experience in deploying enterprise systems and processes.

• Capability to support mission-critical legacy applications and integrate them with enterprise systems.

• Experience provisioning applications to endpoints and end users using various technologies.

• Experience in monitoring and documenting project progress and escalating gaps, risks, and issues using standardized tools and governance processes.

• Experience facilitating and documenting workflow analysis and requirements gathering.

• Ability to develop future-state workflows and address process gaps and risks.

• Experience supporting successful implementation and transition to ongoing support.

• Understanding of and relationship management with hospital operations.

• Experience in harmonizing application deployment and operational readiness.

• Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods.

• Willingness to travel throughout the hospital system.

• Proficiency in operating a computer and office equipment.

• Effective communication skills for accurate information exchange.

• Must adhere to the annual influenza prevention program or secure an approved exemption.
