Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the official project timeline, assessing actual progress against planned milestones by work package and phase.

• Manage risks, project scope, and contingency strategies related to scheduling, staffing, and overall scope.

• Facilitate weekly status meetings with IT Governance (GTI), Technology and Development (NTD), and work-package developers.

• Create monthly executive status reports for senior management review.

• Promptly escalate to NTD/GTI any schedule variances exceeding 15% for any specific work package.

• Coordinate approval checkpoints and obtain go-live sign-off for each work package.

• Collect and document functional requirements and business rules in collaboration with business users.

• Validate and maintain an up-to-date system inventory, identifying any discrepancies between the mapped scope and the actual environment.

• Map affected business processes and establish acceptance and user acceptance testing criteria for each system.

• Conduct an effort-calibration pilot to substantiate estimates for each work package.

• Prepare and maintain both technical and functional documentation for migrated systems.

• Organize and coordinate user acceptance testing, ensuring functional equivalence between the legacy system and the migrated version to Forms 12c.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in IT project management, ideally related to legacy-system migration or modernization.

• Proficient in schedule management tools, such as MS Project or similar applications.

• Understanding of risk management, feasibility analysis (effort versus capacity), and contingency planning.

• Familiarity with project governance, including status meetings, executive reporting, and escalation of variances.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience managing IT projects of similar size and complexity.

• Technical expertise in Oracle Forms and migration processes between different versions.

• Project management certification, such as PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.

• Experience collaborating with mixed teams of internal and temporary contract resources.

• Background working in public-sector organizations or Sistema S entities.

• Degree in an IT-related field, or a degree in any discipline coupled with a postgraduate qualification in IT.
