Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Project Manager for one or more initiatives within the DEAN program.

• Oversee the daily management of assigned project activities.

• Ensure that deliverables are achieved within the defined scope, timeline, and budget.

• Plan, initiate, manage, execute, and conclude assigned projects that support VHA's integrated healthcare system.

• Utilize structured project management methodologies that align with PMI standards and federal contracting requirements.

• Provide project-level status updates to the Task Order Project Lead (TOPL) / Program Manager.

• Identify risks and issues, escalating them as necessary while recommending mitigation strategies.

• Create and maintain project schedules, risk and issue logs, action item trackers, and status reports in accordance with VA documentation standards.

• Collaborate with internal project teams, VA program offices, and partner contractors.

• Align efforts, address dependencies, and drive the execution of assigned workstreams within the DEAN transformation initiative.

• Monitor performance metrics for the project.

• Participate in lessons-learned reviews and support the ongoing improvement of project execution processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in successfully managing a large-scale program comprising multiple projects, with a lifecycle budget and complexity similar to the task order, including at least 4 years with a large corporation, government agency, or healthcare organization.

• BA/BS Degree in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.

• Experience in planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing programs or projects that support an agency's mission.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust clearance (Tier 2 / MBI).

• Adherence to VA information security, privacy, and system access requirements, including VA PIV credentialing and related onboarding standards.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

• An active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a comparable quality-equivalent certification is required at the time of hire.

• At least four years of experience supporting a large corporation or government agency, preferably within a large healthcare organization.

• Familiarity with the standard operations of VHA is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with organizational leadership is preferred.

• Knowledge of the DEAN mission and function is preferred.
