This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Oversee all members of the project team, potentially spanning multiple projects and locations.
• Advocate for safety and risk management throughout projects.
• Provide mentorship and training for Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Manage project financials and relay information to leadership.
• Update the Vice President on employee development and performance-related matters.
• Interpret contract stipulations and address risks and business challenges.
• Lead the creation of subcontract and purchase order documents.
• Create project timelines and workflows to achieve energy savings objectives.
• Oversee and facilitate change management processes.
• Manage the issuance, negotiation, and collection of progress billings.
• Ensure precise monthly reporting and lead monthly project meetings.
• Confirm accurate financial forecasting.
• Address and resolve outstanding project risk issues.
• Act as the primary project leader contact for clients.
• Ensure project completion aligns with energy and financial targets.
• Establish and nurture relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and clients.
• Enforce company policies and procedures on project sites.
• Engage with the industry and community.
• Exemplify and promote ethical and professional conduct.
• A minimum of 8–10 years of demonstrable experience in large commercial construction projects ($20M+).
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline, along with relevant field experience in the company's core markets.
• Experience in design-build projects is advantageous.
• Strong leadership abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges, resolving issues, and motivating team members while preserving relationships.
• Capability to manage complex situations that involve ambiguity and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and a commitment to safety, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
• Familiarity with pull planning and the Last Planner System.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management software like Procore or similar platforms.
• Skilled in scheduling software such as Primavera or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and readiness to handle multiple ongoing projects in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of the industry and knowledge of the company’s competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform responsibilities outside the standard job description when required.
• Willingness to travel 5–10% of the time to job sites or office locations.
• Capability to climb stairs.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Proficient in repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Capacity to adjust and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
