Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Review and validate that engineering specifications for product development are comprehensive and achievable.

• Suggest enhancements and optimizations for engineering specifications whenever feasible.

• Ensure clear communication so that engineering specifications are well understood and synchronized among both internal and external engineers at ODM suppliers.

• Oversee product development to adhere to timelines, specifications, costs, and quality standards.

• Comprehend product cost structures from BOMs and/or samples and advocate for potential cost reductions.

• Grasp manufacturing processes and promote possible cost efficiencies.

• Assist in ensuring successful product launches.

• Cultivate strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Execute other associated tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering, manufacturing engineering, project management, or a similar role.

• Experience collaborating with manufacturing suppliers or factories in China, ideally within consumer electronics, mobile technology accessories, plastics, or other related consumer goods.

• Familiarity with engineering design, project management, and manufacturing processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other tools utilized for cost analysis, reporting, and data management.

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and proficiency in English.

• Willingness to travel to supplier factories and manufacturing sites as necessary.

• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and adeptness in root cause analysis.

• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to product quality.

• Effective project management, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

• Clear communication and collaboration skills with suppliers, engineering teams, and international stakeholders.

• A proactive attitude toward identifying risks, resolving issues, and fostering continuous improvement.
