This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a national, multi-year training and technical assistance center funded by SAMHSA that promotes the integration of primary care and behavioral health.
• Align federal grant objectives with field operations and convert models, policy, and evaluation insights into actionable strategies.
• Establish, reinforce, and refine project strategies and designs throughout the project's lifecycle.
• Convert federal grant objectives, evaluation outcomes, and field requirements into yearly technical assistance plans.
• Supervise project scope, work plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, and quality standards.
• Identify risks, including changes in federal priorities and funding, and develop strategies for mitigation.
• Lead or oversee project evaluation strategies and apply insights gained to enhance service delivery.
• Act as the primary liaison with federal project officers and ensure adherence to grant terms and conditions.
• Incorporate supplemental funding and new federal priorities into project scope, work plans, and budgets.
• Monitor project finances in collaboration with Finance, aid in grant proposal development, and devise strategies to optimize available funds and secure ongoing funding.
• Manage relationships with external partners, organizational collaborators, consultants, and small firms.
• Oversee procurement and contracting processes from scopes of work and budgets to performance monitoring and project closeout.
• Identify areas lacking content expertise or outreach and recruit new partners accordingly.
• Lead a multidisciplinary project team, synthesize feedback, set direction, and assign responsibilities.
• Model execution and accountability while fostering community within a virtual team.
• Supervise tasks and mentor team members in collaboration with Directors and the Principal Investigator.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and alignment with National Council initiatives and departmental objectives.
• Report directly to the Senior Director of Practice Improvement.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience managing complex, large-scale projects, including considerable experience leading federally funded initiatives and project teams.
• Required knowledge of integrated health and whole-person care, with a specific focus on primary care and behavioral health integration as outlined by SAMHSA.
• Experience managing substantial federal grants or contracts that involve training and technical assistance, including direct communication with federal project officers.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a significant number of subcontracts, consultants, and partner organizations, including procurement and the development of scopes of work and budgets.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and make timely, informed decisions in complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience in developing and overseeing quality improvement, evaluation, and performance measurement initiatives.
• Experience presenting to diverse audiences and collaborating with federal agencies such as HHS, SAMHSA, HRSA, or CMS.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, nationally visible organization with changing federal priorities and a high level of scrutiny.
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, public health, mental health, or a related field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Preferred: understanding of integrated care models, implementation strategies, quality improvement methods, and financial sustainability considerations.
• Preferred: experience working within or alongside a national organization.
• Preferred: master's degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification.
• Preferred: proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
