This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team and take charge of executing the long-term strategy and operational direction for a business of moderate size and scope.
• Oversee a team of seasoned Supplier Quality & Development professionals.
• Manage processes related to supplier qualification, certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and resolution of quality issues.
• Supervise supplier quality performance, including prevention, monitoring/escalation, and submissions of nonconforming materials.
• Manage or assist in the onboarding and qualification/certification of suppliers.
• Oversee source inspection and material release processes.
• Lead root cause analysis, problem-solving efforts, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze quality data to pinpoint systemic issues and formulate supplier-specific quality initiative strategies.
• Drive the implementation of PFMEA, MSA, process flow and control plans, and SPC.
• Ensure that suppliers adhere to contract requirements, including Resourcing Gate, PPAP acceptance, and work transfer implementation.
• Head supplier quality activities that involve assessments of raw materials, contracted manufactured items, and packaging materials.
• Make certain that service providers and laboratories follow good manufacturing practices and that procurement practices meet specified requirements.
• Establish performance management systems that monitor business objectives, deliverables, status, and associated risks.
• Lead corrective actions with suppliers and manage teams responsible for work transfer and process change management.
• Communicate and influence executive leadership as well as external suppliers.
• A University Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person: either a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident, or someone granted refugee or asylee status.
• Over 5 years of combined experience in aerospace supplier quality or aerospace quality.
• More than 5 years of hands-on expertise in metallurgy, forgings, and metallic raw materials.
• Proficient in metallic testing (MTL), heat treatment, NDT, and surface treatments.
• Capable of communicating and presenting to all organizational levels and external suppliers.
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
