This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bahrain.
• Spearhead the planning and implementation of GE Vernova’s engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities in accordance with contractual scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
• Supervise GEV Project Managers and functional leads, ensuring efficient daily project execution.
• Take ownership of GEV’s project budget, including forecasting, cost management, and margin performance.
• Oversee GEV’s detailed project schedule, critical path, key milestones, long-lead items, and recovery plans as necessary.
• Manage and mitigate GEV-side project risks, while escalating cross-party risks and impacts to the Consortium Leader.
• Ensure effective engineering delivery, technical coordination, procurement, supply chain operations, and readiness for construction and installation pertaining to GEV’s scope.
• Facilitate GEV-related interfaces with consortium partners, proactively identifying and escalating interface risks or delays.
• Guarantee compliance with GEV’s quality, documentation, and HSE standards, including providing daily HSE leadership for GEV site personnel.
• Collaborate with GEV Commercial and Contracts teams regarding contractual, cost, claims, and change-related issues impacting GEV’s scope.
• Deliver precise and timely reports on project progress, costs, risks, quality, HSE, KPIs, and essential actions to bolster overall project governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
• At least 15 years of experience in major EPC/infrastructure/energy project delivery, including significant time in a senior Project Director/PM position.
• Proven experience in executing a defined scope of work within a larger multi-party or consortium project framework.
• Hands-on experience in delivering projects in Algeria or similar North African markets.
• Proficient in English.
• PMP or an equivalent certification is preferred.
• A professional engineering qualification relevant to GEV's technical scope is an asset.
• Strong preference for relevant sector project experience.
• Proficiency in French and/or Arabic.
• Demonstrated operational leadership and organizational discipline within a defined scope.
• Effective communicator capable of providing clear, timely updates to the Consortium Leader on interface and cross-party matters.
• Full adherence to company integrity policies and applicable anti-corruption/anti-bribery regulations.
