This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bahrain.
• Oversee the planning and implementation of GE Vernova’s engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning tasks in accordance with contractual obligations, timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
• Supervise GEV Project Managers and functional leaders, ensuring efficient daily project operations.
• Take ownership of GEV’s project budget, including forecasting, cost management, and margin analysis.
• Manage GEV’s comprehensive project timeline, critical path, essential milestones, long-lead items, and recovery strategies as needed.
• Identify and manage GEV-side project risks while escalating cross-party risks and their implications to the Consortium Leader.
• Oversee engineering delivery, technical coordination, procurement, supply chain operations, and readiness for construction and installation for GEV’s scope of work.
• Coordinate GEV-related interactions with consortium partners and proactively identify and escalate any interface risks or delays.
• Ensure adherence to GEV’s quality standards, documentation protocols, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, offering daily HSE leadership for GEV site staff.
• Collaborate with GEV Commercial and Contracts teams on matters related to contracts, costs, claims, and changes impacting GEV’s scope.
• Deliver precise and timely reports regarding project progress, costs, risks, quality, HSE, KPIs, and key actions to facilitate overall project governance.
• Lead the daily execution of GEV's assigned Scope of Work under a Consortium Agreement.
• Manage GEV's internal delivery team and functional leads.
• Coordinate with the Consortium Leader on cross-party alignment, customer communication, and governance escalation.
• Monitor and escalate dependencies on the performance of the Consortium Partner through the Consortium Leader.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
• At least 15 years of experience in major EPC/infrastructure/energy project delivery, including substantial time in a senior Project Director/PM position.
• Proven experience in delivering a defined scope of work within a larger multi-party or consortium project environment.
• Hands-on experience executing projects in Algeria or similar North African markets.
• Proficiency in English.
• PMP or an equivalent certification is preferred.
• Professional engineering qualification relevant to GEV's technical scope is a plus.
• Strongly preferred experience in the relevant sector.
• Proficiency in French and/or Arabic.
• Full adherence to company integrity policies and applicable anti-corruption/anti-bribery regulations.
