This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Create and implement a specification strategy that aligns with annual sales and market growth goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and secure specifications for commercial, high-rise residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Establish and nurture relationships with consulting engineers, MEP consultants, framework providers, and other key industry figures.
• Oversee the specification pipeline from the initial concept stage to the sales handover process.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Regional Sales teams to transform specifications into profitable sales opportunities.
• Serve as a reliable technical advisor on product selection, system design, installation, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct CPD seminars, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
• Examine technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models to uncover opportunities and suggest compliant solutions.
• Keep track of market trends, legislative changes, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
• Assist with product launches, exhibitions, industry events, and activities aimed at enhancing brand awareness.
• Maintain CRM records, monitor specification performance, and provide reports on pipeline status, project progress, and sales forecasts.
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Technical teams, leveraging digital and AI-driven tools to enhance customer engagement and specification performance.
• Proven experience in specification sales within plumbing, heating, air conditioning, building services, pipework, valves, or mechanical systems.
• A robust existing network of consulting engineers and M&E design consultants.
• A demonstrated history of securing product specifications and successfully converting them into profitable sales.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping applications.
• Familiarity with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance, and industry best practices.
• Confidence in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, BIM models, and engineering documentation.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills, including experience in delivering CPDs.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence both technical and commercial decisions.
• Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage sales pipelines, project opportunities, and forecasting.
• Strong project and time management abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently across a national territory.
• A valid UK driving license.
