This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Provide leadership to project controls personnel assigned to project management teams.
• Ensure the efficient execution and delivery of project controls processes and deliverables.
• Analyze project data and suggest improvements to processes.
• Lead the modernization of tools, data, and processes across various business units.
• Supervise project controls teams and third-party consultants, including performance evaluations, time approvals, recruitment, and mentorship.
• Develop, manage, and analyze CPM schedules; conduct schedule risk assessments; and handle risk and change management.
• Oversee the delivery of schedules, cost forecasts, risk registers and analyses, dashboards, S-curves, and histograms.
• Perform strategic project-data analysis and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with contractual project controls obligations and offer guidance on contract evaluations and change management.
• Implement policies, SOPs, training, and competencies related to project controls.
• Own the enterprise Project Controls Governance Framework and establish companywide standards.
• Ensure effective forecasting, cost management, schedule integrity, executive reporting, and the development of mitigation plans to protect margins and cash flow.
• Support pre-award pursuit schedules, execution strategies, risk and contingency recommendations, and executive bid reviews.
• Chair baseline and re-baseline reviews and approve rules for contingency drawdown.
• Institutionalize Monte Carlo and quantitative risk analysis for scheduling and cost management.
• Own the selection, implementation, and adoption of project controls tools, data pipelines, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Lead governance forums with Operations, Estimating, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and PMO.
• Connect controls metrics to financial outcomes and escalate significant variances to executives.
• Execute enterprise continuous improvement initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; or equivalent education or relevant experience is required.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in a construction project controls discipline, including project scheduling, project cost management, or project risk analysis, or a combination of these experiences.
• Previous experience in leading senior-level individual contributors is required.
• Experience in managing both remote and in-office employees.
• Experience in the professional development of employees.
• Proficient in scheduling software, including Primavera and Microsoft Project.
• Familiarity with cost forecasting software, such as Ecosys.
• Knowledge of risk analysis software, such as Primavera Risk, Acumen Risk, @Risk, or Safran.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Strong oral, written, presentation, and listening communication skills.
• Excellent mentorship abilities.
• Capability to organize and prioritize multiple competing tasks for various stakeholders.
