This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist in managing and controlling costs for engineering and construction projects.
• Gather cost and scheduling information.
• Revise project forecasts.
• Evaluate cost trends, discrepancies, and irregularities.
• Create cost estimates and precise project cost models.
• Examine contract documents to pinpoint cost responsibilities.
• Incorporate cost responsibilities into overall cost deliverables.
• Uphold baseline concepts and execute cost updates that reflect progress data.
• Work with stakeholders to collect inputs and address cost or scheduling challenges.
• Facilitate what-if analyses, schedule forecasts, variance assessments, and risk reduction activities.
• Identify root causes of cost discrepancies.
• Implement target estimates and discern variances related to scope, progress, or financial modifications.
• Compile detailed and summary reports on costs, schedules, performance, dashboards, and management insights.
• Coordinate schedule updates using Primavera P6.
• Collaborate on predicting cost projections.
• Review contractor change orders that impact cost and schedules.
• Monitor and refresh project cost and schedule data with owners and stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate reporting on milestones, dependencies, progress, risks, and variances.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, analytics, economics, or a related discipline is required.
• Over 2 years of experience in developing, maintaining, tracking, and analyzing project or program schedules, milestones, deliverables, and performance data is necessary.
• Proven experience in supporting project controls, program controls, operational planning, schedule forecasting, progress tracking, and/or variance analysis is mandatory.
• Proficient knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling principles is essential.
• Experience with forecasting, what-if scenario analysis, risk and issue management, and root-cause analysis is required.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, Business Intelligence, Python, Alteryx, or other data analytics tools are preferred.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or SCRUM is preferred.
• Experience in developing program dashboards, performance reporting frameworks, workflow tracking, and automated reporting solutions is preferred.
• Capability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to spend long hours in front of a computer screen.
• Strong problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to read and comprehend text in both digital and printed formats.
