This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Provide support to the Minneapolis architecture and engineering division as a Project Controller.
• Ensure that the assigned client projects achieve financial, scheduling, and performance objectives.
• Oversee project controls for a diverse portfolio of both small and large-scale projects.
• Analyze performance trends and generate cost-impact assessments along with monthly project performance reports.
• Recommend contractor invoices for approval.
• Compile cost reports that track actual and committed subcontractor/vendor expenses against budgets.
• Update forecasts utilizing earned value analysis, discussions with project teams, and various other tools.
• Establish project budgets derived from proposal estimates and assist in project setup and execution.
• Facilitate the development of effective work breakdown structures.
• Communicate findings related to budget, cost, and schedule analyses to project managers and leaders.
• Identify challenges and successes while formulating project recovery strategies.
• Lead meetings with project teams, Project Approvers, and the Finance & Accounting departments.
• Create purchase orders and subcontract agreements in collaboration with procurement.
• Monitor spending by subcontractors/vendors against established commitments and budgets.
• Complete payment-release documentation and keep track of subcontractor payments.
• Assist Project Managers in managing Salesforce entries and updates.
• Serve as a liaison with subcontractors concerning progress, schedules, and contract administration.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimates to completion, and projected end dates.
• Track unbilled amounts, invoicing, and aged accounts receivable, and report findings to management.
• Maintain updated forecast end dates along with monthly and quarterly estimates to completion.
• Review client invoices and establish invoicing schedules in accordance with contract terms.
• Prepare and deliver monthly reports for both internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
• Communicate with clients regarding invoicing, payment, contract, and reporting requirements.
• BA/BS degree plus 4 years of relevant experience in project controls, or a demonstrated equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Capability to effectively lead project controls for both small and large projects.
• Previous experience in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
• 8+ years of pertinent project controls experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of project planning and scheduling methods, practices, and earned value analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with or a willingness to learn basic Federal Contract Requirements.
• Ability to read and comprehend client contracts and subcontracts.
• Capacity to work with multiple project managers and manage competing project demands.
