This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Provide support to the architecture and engineering practice in Minneapolis, MN as a Project Controller.

• Ensure that assigned client projects achieve financial, scheduling, and performance objectives.

• Oversee project controls for both small and large projects managed by various project managers.

• Analyze performance trends and prepare assessments of cost impacts along with monthly project performance reports.

• Suggest contractor invoices for approval.

• Generate cost reports that track actual and committed expenditures against budgets.

• Revise forecasts using earned value metrics, discussions with project teams, and additional tools.

• Set up project budgets based on proposal estimates and aid Project Managers in project initiation and execution.

• Facilitate the development of effective Work Breakdown Structures.

• Relay budget, cost, and schedule analysis findings to Project Managers and project leaders.

• Recognize issues and successes, developing project recovery plans when necessary.

• Conduct meetings with project teams, Project Approvers, and the Finance & Accounting departments.

• Support procurement efforts with purchase orders and subcontract agreements.

• Supervise subcontractor/vendor expenditures against commitments and budgets.

• Complete payment release documentation and monitor payments to subcontractors.

• Assist Project Managers with entries and updates in Salesforce.

• Coordinate with subcontractors regarding project progress, schedules, and contract management.

• Monitor earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimates for completion, and project end dates.

• Track unbilled amounts, invoicing, and aged accounts receivable, reporting findings to management.

• Maintain metrics for data quality, forecast project completion dates, and estimates to completion.

• Review client invoices and set invoice schedules based on contractual terms.

• Prepare and submit monthly reports for both internal and external clients.

• Comprehend client contracts and subcontracts, particularly focusing on scope, schedule, budget, and risk.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to fulfill contractual obligations.

• Communicate with clients concerning invoicing, payments, contracts, and reporting requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) along with 4 years of relevant experience in project controls, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

• Previous experience in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 8 years of relevant project controls experience is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of project planning and scheduling methods, practices, and earned value is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams.

• Capability to lead project controls for both small and large projects across a wide portfolio and multiple project managers.

• Detail-oriented, efficient, and highly organized.

• Ability to prioritize and manage competing project demands.

• Familiarity with or a willingness to learn basic Federal Contract Requirements.
