This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Assist the architecture and engineering team in Minneapolis as a Project Controller
• Ensure that designated client projects meet financial, scheduling, and performance objectives
• Analyze performance trends and generate cost-impact assessments along with monthly project performance reports
• Recommend approval of contractor invoices
• Prepare cost reports that track actual and obligated subcontractor/vendor expenses against budgets
• Update forecasts through earned value, discussions with the project team, and other methodologies
• Create project budgets based on proposal estimates and support Project Managers in project initiation and implementation
• Coordinate the development of efficient Work Breakdown Structures
• Convey results of budget, cost, and schedule analysis to Project Managers and project leaders
• Identify challenges and achievements, and formulate project recovery strategies
• Facilitate meetings with project teams, Project Approvers, and Finance & Accounting
• Assist with the preparation of purchase orders and subcontract agreements
• Oversee subcontractor/vendor expenditures in relation to commitments and budgets
• Complete documentation for payment releases and monitor payments to subcontractors
• Aid Project Managers with Salesforce data entries and updates
• Communicate with subcontractors about progress, timelines, and contract management
• Track KPIs including earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimated completion, and project deadlines
• Monitor unbilled amounts, invoicing, and aged accounts receivable to report to management
• Maintain data quality metrics, forecast completion dates, and estimates for project completion
• Review client invoices and establish invoicing schedules in accordance with contract stipulations
• Prepare and submit monthly reports for both internal and external clients
• Examine client contracts and subcontracts for scope, schedule, budget, and risk factors
• Collaborate with Project Managers to fulfill contractual obligations
• Communicate with clients regarding invoicing, payments, contract, and reporting requirements
• BA/BS degree with 4 years of relevant experience in project controls or a demonstrated equivalent of experience and/or education
• US Citizenship is required
• No sponsorship is available currently or in the future
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Capability to oversee the project controls function for both small and large projects across a diverse portfolio and multiple project managers
• Previous experience in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred
• Preferred 8+ years of pertinent project controls experience
• In-depth knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques, practices, and earned value is preferred
